Mrs. Georgette Kaplan owns a successful gourmet food company. Ms. Stephanie Kaplan is a Ph.D. candidate in political science in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Ms. Jamie Kaplan is pursuing an M.B.A. at Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management. Separately, they pursue different passions, but together they have made Ms. & Mrs. the leading innovator of Special Occasion Survival Kits.

When Jamie landed her first job after college, her sister, Stephanie, gave her a cosmetic case filled with all of the beauty, healthcare, and grooming products that women typically store haphazardly in their desk drawers. The gift was a hit. They quickly realized that there were no kits geared toward helping female professionals survive a typical work day. The Working Girl's Survival Kit was born. In early 2004, the three joined forces to bring the kit from their hardworking offices to yours.

Since then, the Kaplan women have expanded their product line to include survival kits for a variety of occasions — from weddings, to babies, to graduations. Every kit they develop satisfies two criteria. First, it must be utterly practical. And second, it must look good. Guided by that philosophy, Ms. & Mrs. has helped thousands of ordinary people survive not-so-ordinary emergencies. Survival has never been so stylish.
